Ina Garten, an American author of cookbooks on cooking and Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's longest-running program Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 has 27 seasons to 2020. Ina was employed at the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policies and the budget. She initially found her career as stimulating intellectually, but eventually lost interest and bought a small food specialty store named Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make the shop hugely successful, and then sold the business. After that, she started writing her first cookbook. Several other books and magazines followed. Her Food Network television program also began and rapidly gained popularity. Also, Ina sells products ranging from food ingredients to storage containers and tools. Ina never went to any cookery schools nor did she work in a restaurant. Her education is completely self-taught. Her name is known for her unpretentious approach to entertainment and simple cooking. She is well-known for her quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni, Cheese and with Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
