Durrani Popal moved in Los Angeles with the intention to be recognized in the city. She was a candidate for the post as merchandising director at the DASH boutique in Calabasas, California, and was selected for the position. The DASH store in Calabasas, California was relocated to West Hollywood (California) in 2012. Then, in 2014, she began working at the temporary Southampton shop in New York. In the course of working for the shop it was also where she appeared in "Kourtney and Khloe go to the Hamptons" which was a spin-off. There was a belief that producers were trying to find out how the general public would feel about a possible spin-off, by showing the DASH staff. Popal's fellow employees and Popal were portrayed in the DASH Dolls television show'. Durrani Popal is frequently referred to as Kim Kardashian's clone. Popal is greatly influenced by Kim's fashion and believes she is an influencer. The reality star does appreciate Khloe Kardashian and particularly her manner in which she dealt with a challenging issue involving her lover Lamar Odom.
